The font that will be used for the team's jerseys is Papyrus.  The font looks very Native and natural.  I think that looking at it , you can see the sort of Native American theme.  I bolded the font because it is a little faded otherwise.

The home Jerseys will look like this:

The team's colors will be sandy brown, navy blue (main color), and white.  the blue consists of: blue 98, red 9, and green 2.  The brown is made up of: red 67, green 38, and blue 9.  I think that this color combination is not only interesting, but certainly unique and creative.  The sandy brown is a representation of the land or of the two Native American trails that the city was founded upon.  The dark blue represents the Chattahoochee River, which was where the Sandtown trail began and the blue also represents the fact that the city is named after a naval hero.

This is the cap insignia:

Decatur, Georgia is located in Dekalb County and is home to little over 18,000 people.  Its city's motto is "a city of homes, schools, and places of worship," which was changed in the year 2000 from "a city of homes, schools, and churches."  Decatur is, at times, assumed to be larger than it actually is because of the multiple zip codes.  The city's name comes from the naval hero Stephen Decatur.  Around the year 1830, the atlantic rail road wanted to make Decatur the southern most stop, but the residents did not want this because they thought that the noise and pollution would ruin the city; this led to the creation of Atlanta.  In 1823, Decatur was founded at the intersection of two Native American trails: the Sandtown and the Shallowford.  This important historical fact led me to come up with the team's nick name: the Decatur Natives.
